Activate Your Resilience: A Weekend of Doing & Being Resilient

Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself. – Moshe Feldenkrais

Resilience is more verb than noun; it intends movement in body, mind, spirit. Every person experiences stress. What matters is how you respond, how you hold the stress and how you move through, around or beyond it. Resilience is that ability to cope well and recover from life’s stresses in ways that improve the quality of life even as you meet its challenges.
Activate Your Resilience: A Weekend of Doing & Being Resilient dedicates time, place and attention to building up your personal capabilities of resilience. You receive lessons from 3 movement- and awareness-based traditions: Restorative Yoga, Awareness Through Movement® from the Feldenkrais Method®, and the Sounder Sleep System®. We will practice gentle, therapeutic movement that engages the mind and body to create ease of movement and a state of relaxation. You will learn to shift from the sympathetic to the parasympathetic nervous system so your body can naturally slip into deeper rest and sleep. You will activate your natural ability to cope with stress and build your resilience.
